First studio release has been called "a breath of fresh air" and "absolutely enjoyable" by critics. As all projects from April, a portion will always go back to helping others. However, during October 2012 those proceeds will aid Love Them Now purchasing baskets of useful and inspirational items to women undergoing surgical intervention secondary to breast cancer.
This song was written after when stylist Helen Williams asked me to write a song for Belle Ame's "Style for the Cure" event. Breast cancer victims and their family members where asked, "What do you want the world to know about your story?" The answers were complied and somehow became this song. Sincerest thanks to all those who were brave enough to share their story. A video is available on YouTube.
Written as a lullaby for her daughter, Your Mama Prays literally came from the pages of April's personal prayer journal composed primarily of a list of scripture. Believing God's word and promises are for everyone, it is available free of charge. In fact, sharing is encouraged!
